Make something good today

It's the end of the school year, which means life is all about end-of-year celebrations, concerts, plays, tests, vacation planning, summer sports sign-ups...the list goes on. It's busy, but I still like to squeeze in a fun project in between life and work from time to time.

Over the holidays I made a fabric garland for my fireplace. It's a quick and super easy craft that's perfect for adding a bit of whimsical flair. You can hang these garlands just about anywhere...over a bed, window, fireplace.

Yesterday, I made a mini garland for my new creative space. I like to buy those little leftover fabric squares, snip a tiny cut about every inch or two and rip them (don't cut) into strips. You don't have to worry about rough edges or dangling strings, it just adds to the charm. Fold the strips in half, lay twine on top, pull the edges through, and repeat until you reach the length you want the garland to be. It's just that simple!
