Spinster Sisters Co. is a women-owned, B Corp™ Certified natural skincare company. As the Creative Director,
I helped elevate the Spinster Sisters brand by updating the design vision across all print and digital channels through fresh packaging designs, photo art direction, and a strategic marketing implementation. These efforts targeted and achieved growth from a local skincare start-up to a major presence in natural and specialty stores (like Whole Foods, Kroger, and Grove Collaborative) throughout the US.

The initial creative objective was to update all imagery in order to convey the fine quality of products and to create brand awareness across marketing, retail, and e-commerce channels. Updated imagery created an inspirational narrative that spoke to the perfect at-home spa. Styling reflected the vintage inspired packaging designs and brought the overall look and feel up to date.

packaging design & brand refresh

It was imperative that the product packaging support Spinster Sisters mission to be plastic-free. Designs incrementally went from plastic to sustainable materials like FSC certified paper and biodegradable paperboard. These changes were in line with an overall brand refresh to stand out within the social landscape, and to bring attention to the brand on crowded retail shelves.

My last year at the company saw a 72.4% growth in the new Free From collection, 1,186% growth in Face Care, 127% growth in Hair Care, and 22% growth in experiential Bath products. Our social following grew from just over 1,000 to 10K+.
